This weekend I didn’t do many significant things on Friday or Saturday. Mostly just rereading books, I just like to randomly flip a cook I already read to a random page to read. However, I did do something significant (significant, not fun) on Sunday. I went to Fairfield with my mom because she had piano classes to teach and I had to go with her to help with some things. Most of that day I just played on my phone (careful not to waste my battery) and walked aimlessly around the room. The classes were in a piano shop so I had to practice some of my piano pieces. My mom gave me 20$ to buy something to eat for dinner as I was getting hungry and she was busy, so I just went to a restaurant nearby and bought take-out. I decided to listen to the class from downstairs because I really had nothing else to do. I listened to my mom talk about report cards for grading piano pieces that the judges will use. My mom was one of the piano judges, so she knew what the grading was on. There was an interesting contraption that showed how a piano work, and what the keys actually did inside the piano, it was pretty cool and I just kept on pressing the key on the contraption. At least it was something to do, I most likely would have just watched TV the whole day if I hadn’t gone there. I did participate in one of the classes, so I guess I didn’t walk aimlessly around all the time.

This weekend I went to the Six Flags trip, except the trip to Six Flags was cancelled due to bad weather. The school will return some of the money paid to go to Six Flags but not all as some of it will be used to the non-refundable buses, so we still had to go to adjudication, which is the performance we had to do in front of judges. I still find it very inconvenient that the day the Six Flags trip came there was heavy rain, I even got a notification that there was gonna be a flood flash. The next day, after the trip, it was a sunny day. WHY ON THE ONE DAY I HAVE THE SIX FLAGS TRIP IT RAINS! WHY!!! It was great and sunny, the day before and after, but WHY RAINY ON THE DAY WE GO TO SIX FLAGS! I am really frustrated right now. I never even got to know what group I was in with. The other dates that Six Flags gave us as a make-up for Friday, but it just so happens that all of them disagrees with our school calendar. Coincidence? I think not. At least I got to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Mother’s day is also coming up on this Sunday so I guess it is time to stall my gift making until the last second! (whoo). I really hope that the school or whoever decides the trip reconsiders the dates, as I am sure everyone worked extremely hard for the trip, just to have it taken away from them. I have gone to Six Flags many times but what made this one really fun to look forward to is that I would go with my friends, and I am really, really disappointed to have it cancelled. The judges at the adjudication gave the group I was with -Eastmen- a 90 and a 92, giving us the “grade” superior, which is from 90-100, so we barely made it into the superior category. One of my pet peeves now is that I know somebody will be happy that this year the trip was cancelled so that they wouldn’t miss out on anything fun. I guess I might as well wait for next year, if I even decide to join.
Over the weekend I watched the Super bowl! My sister and I ordered some pizza and other natural Super bowl foods. I was actually rooting for the Atlanta Falcons (sorry Patriots fans). I could remember my disappointment when they blew the 25-point lead and went into the first overtime in Super bowl history. I got a little drowsy after that and got into my bed to sleep. I found out that the pasta sauce from where we ordered -not gonna name it- wasn’t very good, and they messed up our margarita pizza, and also didn’t get the brownie my sister ordered! The pizza still tasted good though. I am still devastated over the Falcon’s loss.
Over the weekend I went to my sister’s Back To The 80s play. She wasn’t lying when she said that she did not play a big part in it. After that came a normal weekend. Just sleeping in really was my highlight for my weekend, that’s how normal my weekend was. Or you could say boring. I did catch a small headache though, and that was definitely not fun. It was a weekend like any other, but I’ll take it!
Over the long weekend I traveled to Massachusetts and Vermont, to check out one of my sister’s potential boarding schools and also to ski. I really didn’t have much fun as there was no wifi and no service (GASP) so I had to spend my time watching the Simpsons which wasn’t that bad though. Not much happened this weekend but it was still something I will remember.
Over the weekend I had tons of fun in the snow. Building snowmen, making snow angels, and of course snowball fights had been highlights of the weekend. The next day I didn’t really do much exciting, I only stayed inside and it was a regular weekend day. There wasn’t much to think about except hope that tomorrow will be a school day. I am ready for the next winter break, where my birthday also takes place! I thought the snow would never end, but sadly it had. If only snow would come like this all the time in winter.
The past week of vacation was a blast. My family and I drove to Florida and along the way we watched Thor and Batman vs. Superman. In Florida, I spent most of my time on the couch and watching TV being the unproductive vacation guy I am. It certainly was a lot better than just staying at my house, but it was hard leaving the giant computer for a week. For the first two days I stayed at Westgate Resorts Vacation Villa. I also went to Universal Studios for the 5th time in my life and it was a great time overall.
Over the weekend I reread a lot of my previously read books. For example, Flush by Carl Hiaasen, Scat (also by Carl Hiaasen), and part of The Candymakers and the Great Chocolate Chase (which is by Wendy Mass, not Carl Hiaasen again if you were wondering). Also on Saturday my mom revealed to me an early Christmas present which was a hoverboard! Specifically it was the Halo Rover and Halo Board -which in fact Halo Board was a pain to get balanced on, I fell at least 5 times in the 5 times that I used it- and before I saw it in person I thought it was the video game and at first I was confused but then I got so excited after I found out that it was a hoverboard!
